According to the Savage website this is a 1899, made in 1915. Savage Arms Corporation, Chicopee Falls Mass. USA.
I believe the caliber is 250-3000. Numbers on bottom, serial 172550.
Barrel length is 23". Anyone have any idea of the value? Or way to find a value?
Thank You and God Bless

If there is any doubt on the caliber, I'd keep checking. Savage did make a 99 in 25-35 and as such, some what rare if it actually is, this would command a premium. I believe above all other calibers, though wouldn't be my choice.
Also, yours appears to be a take down, which would further enhance any value.
Worth further investigation.
