Skip it. A G30 is designed for conceal-ability. I have red-dots on a few firearms mostly 5" slides. They are fun for target practice. I'd never put one on a self-defense carry firearm. That's just me.
This is strictly for shoots & giggles. My EDC is a 1911.

Glock 17 and 19 have tons of affordable slides milled for red-dots and Polymer 80 frames available, including with serial numbers stamped. I'm not sure what milling a slide costs, but you could buy a frame, slide and barrel like described for around $300. I know because I have.

Yes, optics cut. My son just showed up with a new G19 with a solar powered optic. Now I have to have one.
McCluskey Arms in Eugene will optic cut your Glock 30 and can source and mount you an optic. Optic cut turn around time right now is one week, runs about $185, and the optic mount is free.

I personally disagree. The Glock cut will force you to use plates which I try to avoid. Now if you want to run multiple optics on one slide I guess it's ok. I prefer direct milled optics. Part of the reason I don't buy any Glocks with a MOS slide.
The only way I would choose an MOS Glock would if the intended optic was a Holosun SCS-MOS, otherwise I'll direct cut my slide in either RMR or ACRO P2 pattern.

I hate the plates also, but the Holosun SCS goes directly onto the MOS slide. I have it on the G45 mos and the G20 mos. Hundreds of rounds each, no issues at all.

Now that I posted this, I see some others mentioned the same thing. Personally, I don't have any issue with the Holosun SCS. On 3 Sigs I have the Romeo X Compact.
