This is the second time this gun has done this to me....this first time was a pretty quick and cheap fix at the smith, so I have a feeling it's something relatively simple and would love to figure it out for myself and thus prevent it from happening again.
Anyhow, here's the issue: after releasing the slide and cycling the action, the slide will not lock back into the forward position, it just moves freely. When examing it unloaded, I found that if the slide is held forward and dry fired, it then locks and requires the slide release button to be hit again to unlock. Very weird. It's been torn apart and looked over and cleaned meticulously by myself and now by my military friend who gave me the gun. We are both completely at a loss. Help!! I love this shotgun and have had to leave it at home the last 2 or 3 trips to the range. It's heartbreaking.
