I thought that there might be some interest in what
holsters were REALLY like in the 1800's.
The holster in this picture is a family heirloom. We
can date it back to the 1890's, but we think it is much
older. Family folklore dates it to the late 1869 era.
For years it held a Colt Black Powder Police Pocket
pistol that Colt records show was made in 1865.
