This is in the same area where the owner of a pharmacy took out a robber armed with a shotgun this past summer. DA Heckler called that shooting a public service so I think this guy is going to be OK in the legal perspective, assuming he has a LTCF and the gun serial is clean. PA is a shall issue state so it's pretty drama-free to get your LTCF.
