Could Washington keep me out? Is it legal to bring a higher cap than ten mag into the state as long as I return to oregon with the same mags I brought in?
No idea on Washington States braced handgun laws.

That States magazine capacity law is pretty clear though. Unfortunately.

You always have to be aware of laws, or risk the possibility of losing portions of your 2A, up to losing your 2A entirely...

My friend is concerned that I might run into a LEO at the firing range and be in trouble because my chassis has a brace. I didn't think that this would be a problem because BiMart is gonna sell me an AR pistol that has a brace. Is this clearly legal or murky? I figured that I had better ask as he's a lot smarter than me me in all things, except maybe performing tracheotomies lol.

At his club, there was some concern that these might be considered SBR's. There is an option to SB% my chassis if I want to put a proper stock on it, which is something I might do after January, once the NFS tax fee is gone. Here's what it looks like with the brace.

I don;t think his club actually stopped anyone with braces, I think he just said they had discussed it or something. Maybe it was him and the other RSO's? I don't remember now we have discussed the possibilities before. But yeah, there was a video that discussed the possibility that we are only good to go as long as we got Trump.

Totally legal. Clubs have rules, ninnies or not.
True but some of their rules are nuts. One local club in Portland (there is a lot of sympathy for them right now so I won't name them cuz don't want to pile on their miseries) that says anything with a brace is not allowed cuz it's same as a rifle. Even 22s. Crazy. Their rules also state you have to allow 1 second between shots. So you can never practice any kind of shooting that you actually need for self defense. Stupid imo and needless to say I did not join. I can't live with those idiotic rules.

Our clubs do not allow full auto. Although machine guns are legal to own (yes, with hoops).

Our clubs do not allow simulated full auto-binary, bump, or forced reset. Although those are legal without hoops.

So if we wish to shoot at our clubs, we need to follow club rules.

As towards being asked to show "papers", NFA owners are required to be able to present stamps if requested. Normally by ATF agents, or any LEO if investigating a crime.

I would imagine that the manufacturer of the chassis in question likely has information or an actual ATF approval letter. Such might be handy to have available if one has concerns about being asked to show " papers "...
I'm not chiming in on this post only part of your reply. Your location says state of Jefferson which I'm guessing is Jefferson Oregon? In regards to FRT's and Binaries and everything that simulates automatic fire will no longer be legal to own in Oregon and believe me I'm totally pissed about this since I have one Binary that is still sitting in a package on my wall.

I bought one b&t USW Glock chassis that came with a stock but I bought a brace from a3 tactical. Will live as a braced pistol until after Jan 1 when it can be sbr'd for free.

State of Jefferson is a proposed State, encompassing Southern Oregon & Northern California.

Yah, am also pissed in a big way about incoming Binary ban!! Regardless if we own any or not...

I see a boating accident in your future.

When I go to WA, I just carry somthing with 10rd or less.

When I did a road trip, I bypassed what would have been a 70 miles stretch of Colorado as they ban anything with greater than 15rds capacity and one pistol I brought has a standard capacity of 30rds...

The advise I got was from the more legal team of USCCA, even though I was just passing though, it was not advised to cross state lines with a banned magazine.
I did buy ten rounders for my Beretta and Glock. I need to get ones for my RXM. I am going to buy another RXM from Cascade Farm and Outdoor. I will order the next one with 10 round mags, as Don't need any more 15 routers for one. It will save me from having to buy 2 of the 3 G19 mags that are limited to 10 rounds that I need.

What happens with a Binary installed and you get a squib from the first round on the pull? Seems like one would hope that the round on release could be a problem if the first round actually was able to eject the case.

I didn't want one initially, but I found one cheap, and when it arrived, it was made of plastic and it would have got rid of the trigger dongle. I wound up throwing it away. It was actually two that I ordered, but I figured I would check them out as they were $15 bucks.

They probably wouldn't have lasted 100 rounds and one was deformed. Live and learn, I guess. I am just glad that I was only out 15 bucks. They are in the land fill now.

There was an ad in the classifieds where some guy in Cottage Grove had metal ones for sale for Glocks that were 50 bucks each. It appeared that he was making them. They were metal. That was a few days ago. I think the ad was taken down. I couldn't find it again.

I get it, he probably wanted to sell as many as he had before next month, when they become illegal to make or possess. He hadn't done anything illegal, and it would be a shame if he had to destroy or turn them in.

Franklin something or other has complete upper assemblies, loaded slides for Glocks but they were over 800 bucks each and had a selector switch on the side for single shot and binary modes.

But, as many who have served will tell you, full auto just wastes ammo and makes you run out of ammo quickly. Three round burst was all that my son's rifle in the Army would do. He said he never used it. They were taught to just use single shots most of the time.

I was taught that too when I was in. Ours would do semi, 3 round, or full. I tried full a couple of times and it drained my mag in just a few seconds.

Are rubber bands good to go?

Same exact thing if you get a squib with any firearm.
Yeah you're right. I think that possibility alone makes it not worth it to me. On a slow single shot I can hear and feel the difference. I would have to train differently than I have been doing to make using one safe. Probably not a good idea, and a moot point after next month.

Damn, and they charge for the privilege. What a joke.
Back in my Bullseye days, the club I go to would only let you load 5 rounds in the magazine. They were worried that if a part failed it could go full auto. That was back in the 90's.

But now they don't care about that, but they will only let you bring one gun at a time to the firing line, cased or not. I usually take a few guns out and leave the rest in my pelican case, in my trunk. You can't leave any cased firearms on the benches behind the firing points either. But, at least the range is nice.

I don't feel well enough these days to be out there often, so buying a membership would be a waste for me. And, they have a work bond. I am disabled and wouldn't be able to do any work out there. In the last 12 months I've only made it out there 7 or 8 times.

It's much nicer than NW Arsenal though. The old Baron's Den has really gone down hill the last few years, and it's way more expensive. I don't mind being outside most of the year too.

I looked at the Magpul site, looks like a short grip for the RXM is coming out soon if not out already...
