Oregon Live "now" has posted these excellent photos of armed citizens fighting back against the cartels. It is interesting to see the limited weapons that they have--mainly shotguns.

I can't say as I blame any of them. Relying on the government or police in Mexico for protection is like asking the wolves for protection against the rest of their wolf pack.

Thanks for posting. My observations:
- interesting idea for the tire spikes
- note the sandbags around some sentry posts
- note the use of face cover
