Sometimes it's cheaper to just order a slide I'm sure brownells has one plus then you don't have send yours off (do not know it's your own gun or not).

For the woods the optic could be exposed to the elements and if your like me, you hunt the rain and if it ain't raining you hope it does. With an open emitter, debris/ water could block it and keep the dot from working. So probably want some form
Of co-witness. But also an enclosed optic might be the better choice. Likely the EPS is going to be best bang for you buck there. Which uses the holosun 407k footprint (I'm sure there are other names for the footprint but that's what I call it).

I ended up ordering a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro a few hours ago

I prefer my Romeo 1 Pro to my DPP. I don't like the location of the power button on the DPP. Other than that, it's a great optic.
