If the Rusky ban lasts any time at all, some eastern Euro nation will have a light bulb go on and start
pumping it out. I too went the Stoner platform route on a couple of guns in 7.62X39 because the
ammo was so dang affordable. A lot of it not being re-loadable didn't make too much difference
at the good price. Hang tight, it'll come back.

Build a base of ammo, say 1000 rounds. Then shoot as you want but realize that you must buy to keep "the pipeline" full or else you'll just end up ammo-poor again. Yes ammo is more expensive 'than it used to be', but that's the way it is. Chances are it may never be that low again. Or you could take up archery and just spend a lot of time looking for youer misses.

And I've been looking for my missed rifle shots.
