Although I do not condone a person drawing a gun on a cop. I wonder what the law is in whatever state this occurred in regarding identifying yourself to police.

If I was the passenger in the car I also would have potentially refused to ID depending on what the laws are for that state. If the law doesn't say I have to ID as the passenger of a vehicle than I don't have to ID period, no matter how many times the policeman asks.

IIRC i dont think you HAVE to give LEOs an ID unless they have reason that you are a suspect or committed a crime. i could be very wrong though. please if someone else could chime in. i believe its our 4th and 5th constitutional right.

Also struck by the amount of time that went by after the code 3 was called and the first backup arrived...

The officer remained in control, even with the huge adrenaline dump... Keeping the situation under control and himself as safe as possible.

The men and women who serve as our police have a horrible job to do nowadays... The bible says, blessed are the law keepers... May the Lords protective hand be on those who keep us safe, may He always ensure your safe return home to your loved ones...
Couldn't have said it better, amen, amen

Actually, the Bible says 'blesséd are the peace-makers'.

Well, YOUR bit does. MY bit says that the BG got everything he had coming to him. He surely got 'smit'. Prolly 'Wesson', too.

Romans chapter 13:4
4 For the one in authority is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God's servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

So that the passage is not out of context, I recommend reading the chapter from start to finish, it's not a long one anyways. Very well put together on how to respect and submit to our authorities.

'Romans'?

Ah, that's in the bit I don't read.

Anyhow, if we are going to start discussing religion in this gun forum, I'm gone.

I was also surprised in his down time waiting for back up he didn't do a quick mag change.
He fired several shots. Not sure how many he had left in the pistol, but I would reload if I had the time.

One of the first things I noticed. I think he fired 8 or 9 rounds. It looked like he was going for a mag change there at one time then changed his mind.

I'm a furriner, so please bear with me - I don't discuss politics or religion. Either subject is a no-no as far as I'm concerned.

I won't inflict you with my take on either subject, so please don't try and involve me in either one.

In that case, don't comment and remain quiet. No one will bother to involve you.

Good luck.
