Does anyone have a recommendation (i.e. experience) with having odd safe keys cut?

Yes, I have tried multiple locksmiths. None of them have the blanks for cutting.

Thanks.

Couple times when I had a key I could not find I looked on line and was able to find blanks. Then took those to the key place and had them cut. Did you ask a Smith while there if they could order the blank?

I did and he had no clue and said it would take a lot of research.

I found a blank manufacturer out of the UK and paged through their catalogue (it took some time) and came up blank on the blank.

Bummer, any chance the maker of the safe is still around? If not only way I could see any hope would be fitting a new lock to the safe. If all else fails see what a pro would charge to fit a new lock to it and see if it was worth keeping the safe. I have to "guess" this must be an old model?

It is an older safe which I still have access to. There are a pair of keys but one has gone AWOL and I want to be proactive verse reactive. I do have a HS classmate involved in his family's safe business in another state. I might hit him up and see what he has to say, otherwise, making my own key might be the way to go.

Do hope you can find some way to get one for it. Be a shame to have it go to waste.
