Neither do you. Just like you REALLY don't know if the Ruger is better. It's just your opinion.
I have the Ruger and the a few G19's plus other Glocks and the PSA version . The Ruger has by far the best out of the box trigger, sights and the RMR capability. I could care less about the trigger group cage swapability. I like the grip frame shape on the Ruger much better.

Those are great points that you prefer it over the Glock. But it don't mean it's "seriously better". If it can prove years of reliable service, outshoot and generally outlast a Glock then I'd be more inclined to take your side.

The last year+ there has been torture , reliability and accuracy testing already done ( YouTube , media publishing ) to the extremes that has put to light some of the questions to how the RXM rates . Many of the results have confirmed what @wired and others have said in support of this pistol . :)
Given the crowded market in the polymer striker field Ruger / Magpul must have known there would be a draw to their pistol or they wouldn't have attempted a venture to say the least .

"Best"....
Is extremely subjective.

I think the best revolver of the so called American Civil War was...
The Colt 1860 Army.
However...
Many folks also think the same of the Remington New Model Army ..
Or what is now called today as the 1858 Remington.

Both are excellent revolvers.
That said...I am right in my statement of the Colt being the best.... :D

Seriously though....
So much ink and cyber space has been wasted on saying what firearm is best...
Most of which is based only on personal likes

Aren't we supposed to boycott Ruger too? Because Bill Ruger personally believed an "honest" man didn't need more than 10 round mags….

Or was that long enough ago it doesn't matter anymore. Lol.

I love the cycle of bashing and pointing fingers in the gun community. One day their the worst and anti gun and the next their the best.

Ruger died and released the company of his burden

I've never handled either one in real life, but if the clones are accurate to the pattern I greatly prefer the Colt over the Remington. They're just buttery smooth!

I own both copies of the 1860 Army..and an original Colt from 1868...
Shoot both...both are smooth.

I have shot both copies of the Remington New Model Army...and shot an original one....
Again...both are nice...and handy well....I just prefer the Colt design.

I am curious if the V versions will have all the crap on them to qualify for the California market. CLI, etc.
I doubt it. Generally people aren't negotiating with the left. Like ok, but I want all the new Glocks to be listed as California compliant. I could be wrong but I'm not.

I think the V versions will be California compliant
You think they'll all have magazine disconnects, loaded chamber indicators, 10 round mags, ect.

I sure hope not. If they do Glock is done in my book. I won't be buying anything from the new generation. I'll stick to the used ones floating around.

Or maybe they are releasing a "V" variant specifically for banned states and then will release a Gen 6 for everyone else.

Yes. It's a $billions market. Not selling in California would be idiotic
Eh. More gun owners than we think in CA but they apparently keep voting the same people in over and over.... But if firearm companies simply stopped selling to CA police departments and CA residents...... Maybe that'll light a fire under the police unions and the citizens to actually, I dunno, vote the antigun politicians out, and to repeal the CA level gun laws?

But no, they (gun companies) need the dollars more than they need the State gun laws to be overturned

Edit. I mean it's not like CA politicians aren't already trying to make it impossible for FFLs to stay in CA other than those that exclusively deal to police departments

Stop thinking of gun companies as freedom advocates. They make guns, they sell guns. California has put Glock on notice that they will no longer accept guns for sale in the state of California that do not meet their standards so Glock can either change designs to meet those standards or stop selling in California entirely. So what do they do? They do a redesign and sell in California. People gripe about everything . They will grip about the new Glocks. They gripe about the old Glocks. Glocks a privately owned European company. Think "What would HK do" . That'll get you close.

I'm just saying forcing CA market to be more flexible would open up millions, if not billion more $$$ in sales, not just to LE agencies. Besides, I've got a $5 here that says CA will still ban Glocks by name except to LE sales even after Glock redesigns things

Just thinking.. "less gun laws = more money from everyone else"
