Seriously better gun. Half a dozen Glock clones out there now. Many are better than OG glocks. The Rugers come standard with RMR mounts and tritium suppressor sights . Ive got all of them. As odd as it sounds, the Rugers are just better.
It's been out for not even a year. No proven track record of reliability, durability or otherwise. But yeah, it's a "seriously better gun". Cheezus.

Who are we kidding.
We love guns. Why should a new Glock be any different?

Were just a bunch of grumpy old men that hate change. :s0114:

Flash back to 1983.

''Hey Bob. This here squirt gun shoots real bulits"!

"Well no kidding Tom? That's stupid and dangerous! Look! The gun's made out of the same plastic crap as the case!"
"I think it's Tupperware"?

"Good Lord Bob"!

Any change the 2A "community" doesn't personally like has to be immediately blamed on liberals/democrats/progressives and the company "bending the knee."

A boycott is needed……. NOT. Don't mind me. I'll still buy, carry and shoot Glocks. I simply don't care. If the new generation is something I dislike I'll just go buy something else. Life goes on.

Oh you're probably right.

Do I get to keep on liking guns?

They might have done a better job. You don't know
With that mindset, we should just ditch all patents and trademarks. Let everyone copy everyone. A free for all of unoriginal ideas and copycats trying to make money from other's hard work. Yes, I know the parent ran dry. But it really says something that these major player manufacturers can't come up with anything original on their own that is better than Glock.

Standard builds a better SAA than Colt ever did. Yeah, like Glock the patents are expired. That's how they work. Now the secondary manufacturers get to improve things beyond what stodgy old Glock ever dreamed of. Glock, the company that refuses to make its own pistols.

There's a reason everyone copies Glock.

Are those striker fired?

Totally different platforms. Everything starts somewhere.

I understand why they get copied when the patents run out.
It don't matter what principle they operated on, what matters is the fact that companies will copy whatever is successful whenever patents run out. It's also why we see Beretta 92 copies (Taurus......) and copies of the S&W 59 and likely also copies of the CZ 75.

Amusingly no one is copying Hi Point :s0140:

I think I am failing at attempting to explain my point. But yes you're correct. I am not denying that at all.

Hi points just need a switch. That's the full hood package.
