Hey just have a quick question I'm getting an upper assembly for my AR trying to decide if I should get a Nitride coated one or chrome coated. I'v done some research and it seems like Nitride would be the best way to go. But it also seems like it could just be personal preference. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

Sig did a bunch of testing and determined that Nitride lasted many (8-12) times longer than chrome if shooting non-corrosive ammo but only 2-3 times as long if using corrosive. Seems like the best choice.

Hands down nitride is best. I have a new Hk 32 PDW pistol being put together (7.62 x 39) and the barrel is nitrided, so I can shoot corrosive all I want. My barrel for my upcoming HK 93 rifle build is also nitrided.. I'm sold on it after much research on line
