Entered the queue at 14 at 11:17 am. I was out the door at 11:25.

I got what was my very first semi auto handgun. A S&W SW40F. The dreaded "Sigma".

I remember the Sigma back in the day, as I recall S&W settled a pattern infringement case with Glock over those. Something about the internals, perhaps trigger/striker/firing mechanisms were a little too "Glock" to be called a Smith.

Decent pistols, proven record, brother in law has one that just runs and runs and runs….

Some thing is up with NICS today, got an instant yesterday, bought another today and was queued for the first time ever in 25 years that wasn't caused by a data entry error.

approx 75 in the queue.

person before normally gets instants and was queued also.

WOAH- 75? that is way higher than it has been in a long time. Bummer as I am doing a purchase tomorrow, and dont want to wait around. Hope that gets back down to low numbers that it has been. FYI i have always been an instant, but my last 2 I have ended up in the queue- agree that something is up at the State!

One of my local shops calls in, normally it's pretty quick but I think there were 5 people before me, it was like 30-45 mins. I loose track of time perusing the goodness that is the used section.

I was also put in queue for my last gun purchase. Never happens.

Was it the same shop with the same people you deal with, on both purchases?

If I use my License, Its always a gamble, sometimes que, sometimes instant. If I use my License paired with my concealed, its always the que, everytime, If I use my Concealed only, I am always instant and have been for years. I wont even give shops my license anymore.

A few weeks ago I was 12th in the queue.....

I think it was about 90 seconds wait...maybe two minutes at most.

No, I don't have my CHL yet, and had never been to this shop before (pawn shop out in Beaverton).

Just lucky, I guess.

Yeah....I was over at Shooters Service in NoPo looking for a spring recoil plug for a full-length guide rod for a 1911 and confirmation is that it might be a bit nuts come Mar 15....depending on what happens with the courts.

That's certainly what the owner, Don, felt.

Anyway, probably business will be up for any FFL shop....even if some people are just looking for ten round magazines for their double stacks....

Well, Im back from Adaptive! Reporting that the queue was at 45 as I entered my NICS for my new HK. Hit submit, and I . . . went into the queue!! Damn it, I thought. Guess I will have to wait with these lowly plebeians for a while. . .

All of a sudden, LGS employee goes "WAIT!!! I JUST CHECKED AGAIN, AND YOU ARE NOW INSTANT APPROVED!!"

So I went from queue with the lowly peasants, back to the instant approval that us HK high brow royalty are accustomed to. NICS staff must have been like "OH WAIT, that is BOLT_308 - - -we are so sorry sir, here is your approval sir, wont happen again sir!!!"

Got her home and so I figured I had better take an updated family photo with the newest arrival- HK USP 45 Tactical. See @64MercurysRule , I only have 7 HK pistols right now- hardly any- rookie numbers really . . .
