Entered the queue at 36 yesterday, took about 25 minutes to get a "pending" reply. Checked today and now it shows as "delayed" till 12/13. bubblegum me, just got my concealed permit earlier this month so I know I am clean.
That sux big time for you. My 18yo daughter bought her first rifle and was delayed. The clerk said it was oregons waiting period for first time buyers and teens. I had not heard of such a law and still haven't. The OSP computer gave a date about a week later (3 business days) so she waited. She got her deer with my rifle while she waited, pretty lame.

Something sounds off.

Perhaps a data entry error? By you, or the FFL?

Did you move? Did you enter demographics which differ from your drivers license (height/weight/race etc)?

--AHH, and did you use your CHL as ID?

I rarely do, however did when Massachusetts mistakenly cancelled/deleted my OR drivers license amidst plandemic. They didn't inform anyone, they just did it & renewed my Mass DL, and we hadn't lived there about a decade! Anyways denied. BiMart lady was on the phone with an OSP tech & the tech informed me I didn't have an OR DL. Which the BiMart lady was looking at in her hand!! OSP tech asked if I had my CHL on me, yah, she said use that. Did so & instant...

Updating this thread, ended up going in the queue for the first time in years. Wait time was only about 45 minutes yesterday, but I went late in the day, so had to return this AM to pick up.

Picked me up a nice Shower Gun . . . WAIT WHOOPS WRONG THREAD! ;-)

Did not use chl as id, went over the info twice. All looked good, chl cleared less than a month ago. Going to call O.S.P. tomorrow and see if they will tell me what the problem is.

The date they gave you of 12/13 is most likely way off by like a year minimum. Also they are not so good about returning messages. Also you can pass and get your CHL and still get delayed by the firearms background check. I've been through it and it took 14 months, a lawyer and two trips to OSP headquarters to get it all sorted out after I has been issued my CHL.

I was at Cabelas today and entered at 97. They said it was moving slow today. So I am going back tomorrow.
Wise choice. It's always moving slow at Cabela's, even if you're not that deep in the queue. Probably due to guns walking out of the store a few years back. The last time I picked up a gun there, they had a triple verification process. That's THREE different people reviewing the paperwork before they let you leave the store with your firearm. That was a couple of years ago though. Maybe they've updated their procedures.

And THEN they give you the ol walk of shame out the door like you're a criminal

BiMart does as well.
Sounds like Cabela's hasn't changed. It has been awhile since I bought a gun from Bi-Mart, but the folks at Cascade Farm their sister store did the same earlier this year. Sadly, I have become so conditioned to it, I was very (pleasantly) surprised at Sportsman's Warehouse last month when the guy pushed a button at the back counter, handed me my guns and told me I was good to go. Nobody gave me a second glance when I walked out the front door.

I just ordered a couple of mags from them. I am hoping they are the right ones. But I can return them if they aren't.

Cascade Farm has the best vet/military discount in the area. It's only 5% on guns. But, it is 10% on anything else in the store, including ammo.
