Alcohol-related deaths completely and utterly eclipse gun-related deaths, even more so when you eliminate suicide from the equation. How many laws do you see being passed against it or campaigns founded on restricting alcohol? Too much money to be made my friends. Why do all " common sense" gun laws start and end with taking all the guns from the law abiding citizens? I'm betting the amount of drug overdoses in California dwarfs the amount of gun deaths but they seem awfully worried about the guns and they could care less about the drugs.
We tried that in the 1920s with Prohibition and then again in the 80s with MADD and DARE programsAlcohol-related deaths completely and utterly eclipse gun-related deaths, even more so when you eliminate suicide from the equation. Good ol' MAAD. What ever happened to the other one, DAMM? Drunks against Mad Mothers? We tried that in the 1920s with Prohibition and then again in the 80s with MADD and DARE programs
And what was Prohibition if not a failure at preventing drinking while becoming a massive source of income for the Mafia. Roll the clock forward 50 years and let's look at what the War On Drugs has given us... Higher than ever drug overdose deaths and and a massive source of income for Mexican cartels and street gangsters. What do you think a prohibition on guns will bring us?We tried that in the 1920s with Prohibition and then again in the 80s with MADD and DARE programs
Oh, they know. Like I've said before.. it's not the criminals that's a threat to the government. It's the law abiding gun owners that are.And what was Prohibition if not a failure at preventing drinking while becoming a massive source of income for the Mafia. And look how well that's all turned out! LOL!And, we got NASCAR after it all ended!
Newsom is an idiot.Basically attempting to enshrine gun control into the constitution. It seems more just political posturing in his bid for head stooge, but will be interesting to see how many and which states join in.
The highlights:
1) Raising the minimum age to purchase a gun to 21
2) Universal background checks
3) A reasonable waiting period for gun purchases
4) Banning the civilian purchase of assault weapons
5) Allows states a blank check to enact any gun control laws they wish to "ensure safety" of it's citizens.
