I was actually about ready to machine an adapter to take standard shell holders when I stumbled on that idea!
They also make a standard shell holder plate. It has a allen screw as a keeper for the shell holder.
Kinda seemed to defeat one of the major principals of the design though..
I just take the rub plate off with the plates and then flip it on to cover the springs when removing installing. Only time they go flying is when im removing or installing. I usually just put my finger over them when flipping the jaws and never have a problem.

But like you pointed out. Theres usually a almost perfect harmonious solution to any problem life has to offer. (except for socio economic apparently) ;)

Weighing charges is not necessarily a 'problem'.

It would be when loading 100's of rounds at a session of a caliber such as 9mm or smaller but with larger pistol and rifle its not so bad when with a good system in place.
Erm, he asked how he could speed up loading 9x19. He is using an auto scale.
