That was no big surprise. However, he also pardoned a bunch of people who were caught up in NJ's criminal justice system due to their draconian gun laws. He's pardoned close to 60 people in that regard so far.
BTW, I'm not a fan of Chris Christie. I would also suggest staying out of NJ.

Also consider that hollow points in any caliber are banned in NJ. They seem to have a thriving industry of prosecuting out of state gun owners as they traverse the NJ Turnpike. The place is a great big shinola hole.
