I have a Model 70 Classic Featherweight in 30.06 with Pre 64 bolt and hinged floor plate. In the past I carried on foot and by horse with no problems. This year I used a gun rack on the front of Quad but could hear the rounds rattling in the magazine (5 rounds Nosler Partion) as the bike bounced along. Upon inspection, the lead points had completly mushroomed on what I think where rounds number 2 and 4, but only slightly on rounds 1,3 and 5.

Surely this can't be a 'normal' or expected condition, so I must have a mechanical problem; e.g. weak spring, or other? Where do I go from here?
