I don't follow the Judds, but I am pretty sure they were a mother and daughter duet, not sisters..
Find it rather pathetic that some people's reaction to the news is to mock an overweight female whose mother recently committed suicide.

Naomi was the mother of Wynonna and Ashley, mom and older sister Wynonna were the duet known as "The Judds". Younger sister Ashley is Hollywood actress. One of her better movies aside from "Heat" is "Kiss the Girls" with Morgan Freeman.

Disagree on pathetic. She died, no differently than tens of thousands every year, which doesn't make her special. RIP just the same. Fat jokes? Life is a constant retread of seventh grade.

I am fat. If I really put my mind to it, that can be remedied.

I had the pleasure of hearing the Judds perform in Sweet Home when they first started the Outdoors Jamboree ( Or what ever they call it these days) at the very height of their fame and popularity, and we always looked forward to them performing there. Both were very much loved and respected performers with a solid reputation of being true, kind, and genuine people of quality! I don't know what happened to Ashly, what drove her into the monster she has become, but I truly feel sorry for her, I know her mother and older sister were wonderful salt of the earth people, True Tennessee Mountain people, and I am grieved at their loss!

The difference between Naomi and "you" is that if you off yourself it won't garner significant media attention.

Some people believe euthanasia is something that should be legal. I suppose if that were the case more people may seek that option rather than the self-inflicted gun shot DIY method.

With these Hollywood types doing just about anything to get more attention, this sad event for their family will still garner that, it already has.

Naomi Judd suffered a few serious physical ailments, including Hepatitis, (the bad kind), and has long suffered the effects of it these many years, she was also known to suffer bouts of mental illness, partly from her childhood as well as her early adult life, so I would imagine things finally got to her and pushed her over the edge! Sadly, the conversation should be about mental heath, and not that this poor woman chose to take her own life, a permeant solution to a temporary situation!

Suicide should be difficult. Just like capital punishment. And abortion. Because these things are all terrible realities. But I digress.
