It's a Bergara Hunter 14 .30-06 and a Vortex HST 4-16. Also got some extra mags, Harris Bipod, Tactical bolt knob and Boyt hard case. It's all really nice!

Great choice! You can go 110 gr. for varmints or 250 gr. soft points for elk.

And remember the Vortex has a lifetime, transferrable, no questions warranty. That means if anything happens to it you can get a replacement for free.

True, I believe the Bergara has one too plus I paid the gun shop extra for another lifetime on the rifle so I should be covered.

Not yet, but my father has a full setup so I probably will eventually.

If you're going to spend a bunch of money on a rifle you'll probably get better results with custom ammunition.

I have bought three guns from Bud's, two XD Mod 2s in 2015 that were not widely available at the time and a G-42 this year from their Penny auctions. Not as exotic as a Berga, but they were very slow, for something they supposedly had on hand.

I could never do business with them again. I had to file a complaint with the BBB before they would do anything.
