Essentially, a batch of custom marked billet receivers were made at Magpul's request back in 2008. I believe it was a limited production run that was used for Noveske built rifles.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and those (and especially the china doll ones) are the collectors items of the modern gun world. Nope, I wouldn't buy one (I would if I was a billionaire), but I would buy one of these before I bought a Colt 1911 for the same price. Why? Because I would get this, and I would shoot the **** out of it, and it would be awesome

That statement is like saying, 'What will an original colt 1911 do that my new Kimber/Springfield/Nighthawk won't?' Absolutely nothing... But it would still be cool to have. After running a full auto Thompson, they are terrible to shoot! But I'd love to have one
