A Hawken Rifle was $38.00. ( Yikes ! ) ( $1,135.70 in today's dollars )
Both rifles were listed as being sold by the Upper Missouri Outfit.

This was sent to me and as such it may already have been posted here but found this to be really interesting.

Very interesting read. I have an old M.L. Rood swivel breech and while doing a little Google-Fu on it found this which I thought was pretty interesting, albeit a bit off topic as I don't see any prices listed, but interesting nonetheless.
