Mossberg 500 trigger housing repair

Hey all, one of my Mossberg 500 trigger housings has been damaged. The retention tabs (towards barrel) that hold the trigger housing in place have broken off. I molded some plastic epoxy into the shape of the broken pieces, but this only lasted for a short time. There are repair kits designed to replace and/or reinforce these tabs. I can not find reviews or instructions on how exactly they work. Has anyone seen or used one of these kits? I can get a used complete trigger housing for $35-45 or repair kit for $10.
