Does anyone know if this is still open? Don't really want to drive 1.5 hours to North Fork Lanes or east of the mountains.
I was up last week doing some berry picking. Great spot for Thimble, Black Raspberries, and brambleberries.
No shooting for me but I did hear others shooting.

Was up yesterday with the wife. Shooting was nice. Only one other guy was up top shooting.
We tried to go up last week but they were closed. Working on moving some of the burnt logs into the river for fish habitat.
BTW Red Huckleberry season is here and plenty up in this area!

Is there a gate at the entrance and is parking just off the highway or can you drive in closer to the shooting area?
It's gated and you park right off the highway. There is more than enough room for you to safely turn around and park. It's about a 10 minute walk, maybe less.

Temporally closed for work, I guess.
Went up today and had to turn around. New signs up.
:(

It really sucks but honestly I'm not surprised. Last few times I went there people have trashed the place. That and on more than one occasion I saw a few people elect not to shoot into a berm but instead mag dump into the open woods. It's a wonder no one got killed.
