There is another quarry up aways after you pass the Snow Peak trail road. It is a lot of big rock with a dirt/ rock backstop about 50 yards max. I would give it about a c plus. I cant find it on Onyx right now but is right on the road.

Dont remember who said it but it is drier than a popcorn fart up there right now and wouldnt shoot until we get some heavy dew and shoot in the early morning or wait for a little rain. Just my 2 cents worth.

Made a road trip up Neal Creek this afternoon. Been since May I think. Wow, there is a certain percentage of people that really dont care. Mostly filled the trailer but a lot more to go. Ran out of steam. Still not back to normal after the cancer surgery. Sorry for the photo dump.

Thanks you two! It's good to hear and see about your efforts to save public land target shooting. Will all forests being trash SO MUCH, we need more people like you!

I visited my backyard playground yesterday, drove the big loop and visited 9 shooting sites... All were trashed.

I did notice, however, not one trailhead had trash. It seems people who recreate on the trails don't litter. Either that or the trail users clean up after themselves. Hmmm... interesting concept. o_O

Here's some pic of the recreational shooting spots in the Yacolt Burn yesterday. I pulled out the refrigerator, the fire extinguishers and some of the trash at Arrowhead pit, but it's too overwhelming for one guy to get it all (much less all the other shooting sites!).

Tracy and I made another trip up Neal Creek. Calling it Neal Creek 2.0. Finished up the main Weyco quarry. Still some little pieces but looks 100% better. We are going to work on the little quarry next. It is worse than the main one. Really busy up there. Question for Scott. Is it ok to shoot at the quarry along the road that the logs were placed at? A lot of people wanting to shoot when we were there but no offers to help.
For law enforcement- a couple of RV's moved in up the 10-1e-25 road. Didnt look like overnighters.

Thank you @Rem700..300. I was up there last year for the first time and it seemed comparatively clean for a shooting spot. Sad to hear that there's so much trash up there now. Let me know if you can use help next trip. I'll be glad to help out if I can.
