It's not just the per gallon fuel tax increase. Vehicle registration fees are increasing another $84 for the 2 year registration period. Vehicle title fees will increase another $139.00.

Boat title and registration fees are increasing. New fees for smaller water craft are created and/or increased. Additional access fees are being imposed.

Fishing licenses increasing 14%, 6% and 6% in 2026, 28 and 30.
Hunting licenses increasing 12%, 8% and 8% in 2026, 28 and 30.
...and there's a new fee for fishing in the ocean.

A money grab worthy of a criminal organization is underway. An increase in the baseline cost of living in Oregon is being codified. It's impossible for the average citizen to review all the newly created fees and tax/fee increases being passed into law by our POS governor and legislature.

Why is there a budgeted line item spending $1.5 billion on (illegal) alien medical care?

Why is new law being written giving (illegal) aliens access to the same housing, food and array of welfare benefits available to US citizens? Why are (illegal) aliens being given in-state tuition for higher education?

Why is the State of Oregon doing nothing to prevent criminal cartel organizations entering and doing business in this state? Who do you talk to about investigating campaign donations, consulting/professional fees and outright pay offs that buy this conspicuous blindness to the criminal activity.

The (politics) of the state of Oregon has become a cancer feeding on the citizens of the state.

Unfortunately, this latest move by the clowns in office has solidified my decision to retire elsewhere after my final tour. I love it here, but damned if I'll stick around to let them bleed me dry and infringe upon my rights if I have a better option. It's a shame that such a beautiful place has such terrible "leadership" and laws.

Same here, as my wife and I approach retirement, we are looking elsewhere to retire to. We love Oregon, and are disgusted by what the Kalifornian libturds have done to this once-great state. But we haven't found that better place, yet. Every other state has its own unique problems too.

Florida is at the top of our list. My wife is from Florida and I used to live in Georgia.
I only fear that the Kalifornians will eventually spread their brain-rot disease to Florida like they did to Oregon, Washington, and Colorado. Oh, and the hurricanes...

So item 4 seems to say that if they slow walk this (12 months) then we won't have to switch to 10 round magazines March 15th.

I grew up in Washington's Puget Sound area (west) and lived in Bremerton on Oyster Bay till I was 13 and the Poulsbo area into my late 20's. I thought that no state was better, even after traveling most of the country for work. Now, I can't go back.

I moved to Oregon for work at Trojan Nuclear Power Plant outside Rainier, until the fools shut it down due to left wing citizen outrage. I stayed in Oregon and grew to love it and now am too old to move anywhere else - even Idaho.

All that I can do is keep fighting and supporting ($$$) the pro-2nd Amendment groups. I am still hoping for the best.

I remember Trojan closing and at the time had no idea that we were being given bad information. Years later I went to work for an INEEL spinoff and worked with some nuclear engineers. That was one of my first realizations that the news was not about the facts, but about what they wanted you to hear. I'm hoping that the new Can Do based small city sized reactors become reality. They solve a lot of problems and not just with nuclear power, but with the grid and the cost effectiveness as well.

Optimistic for the future after the legal proceedings last week, but merrily stacking mags deep in the interim. Aside from mags for future handguns I want to own (P226 XFive Legion, Browning Hi-Power, HK VPL9) and the obvious others that everyone HAS to have (AR-15, AK, and 10/22), I've got a nice stockpile of SIG MPX mags, HK G3/HK 91 mags, and M1 carbine mags. I figure at least 10 of each is enough for the less common rifles and the MPX, 5-6 for the handguns, and 30+ for the AR and AK. Hoping to double those numbers by early next year, though - you can never have too many, and you have to account for breakage over time.

But is there anything anyone can think of that I might be missing? It's such a pain to try to plan out an entire lifetime's gun collection in advance.

All good ideas. I personally dislike Glocks but there are other uses for the mags, like you said, and of course they're in such widespread use it would probably be foolish not to have at least a few. I still haven't had the opportunity to shoot a Beretta 92, but maybe I'll snag a few mags for it just in case.

I'd also kinda like to snag a FAL but I think my wife might only let me own one outdated NATO-era battle rifle and the PTR91 (perhaps someday to be replaced by a real HK) has occupied that slot, hahaha.

There's always unfortunate tweaker burglaries out here in the sticks in southern Oregon, but you make a good point. At the point in which such a thing is poised to happen, that'll probably be when I finally give up on this beautiful state and move to Idaho, Montana or Wyoming, though, so I'm not too worried.

If you're looking for Glock mags, the survivalist guy is usually at the Rickreall gun show and has cases of the Korean version with steel feed lips. He's got them in different capacities. I've used these for my 9mm PCC with no problems. I believe they were around $20 each.

That gun show is December 13th and 14th tis year.
