Not asking to horn in on anyone's super secret spot, but I got drawn for a doe tag in McKenzie unit and am looking for any suggestions (other than the zoo that is the Coburg hills...).
My buddy and I went scouting in McKenzie and were really disappointed. All the National Forest land is over-grown due to lack of logging and all the private lands were locked up.
We always hunt eastside when we get drawn, but got shut out this year. We grew up in the area, but that was a looooong time ago, back when logging was not a bad word and the timber companies didn't lock everything up tight.
If it helps, I am a Hunter Ed instructor, very safe, and respectful of other hunters and property.
