Features

Receiver, lever and trigger guard plate are CNC machined from stainless steel forgings.

Barrel is made of stainless steel and is cold hammer-forged which results in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity.

Threaded barrel, with factory-installed thread protector, has a 5/8"-24 pattern to accommodate a muzzle brake or other barrel accessories.

Stainless steel components have a matte, non-shiny finish.

Adjustable Skinner Sights™ receiver-mounted peep sight is perfect for rapid target acquisition.

Tubular magazine features a loading gate located on the receiver and will accept 10 rounds of 10mm Auto ammunition.

Soft rubber buttpad effectively absorbs recoil.

Positive, push-button, cross-bolt manual safety and traditional half-cock hammer.

Reliably feeds a wide range of 10mm Auto factory ammunition (not compatible with 40 S&W cartridges). :(

Durable, laminate buttstock and forend remain dimensionally stable in varying weather conditions.

Sharp checkering provides an excellent grip in all weather conditions.

Oversized lever loop provides clearance for operation with heavy gloves.

Slim forend for an attractive look and comfortable feel.

Also includes: Sling swivel studs, offset hammer spur.

Well suck me sideways, they actually bubblegumin did it!

Email to my dealer sent. I'll have one as soon as he can get it.

The threaded barrel BS ban...is for semi auto firearms...not lever action firearms.

In any event...interesting rifle...However not $1 ,599 worth of interest....at least from me
Andy

Edit to add...
At the asking price...I'd be wanting the front sight to be facing the correct direction..... :D

.44 Rem Mag dose fine for me in my Marlin 1894.
What goes 1350fps in a 4'' revolver, goes 1850fps in the rifle.

I guess if you carry a 10mm handgun and want a handy rifle in the same?
Not sure of 10mm rifle balistics?

13'' looks to be all 10mm can make use of on average.

I'll stick with .44 mag. But others may have some fun with this rifle in 10mm. If so more power to them.

Not everything has to be the ultimate bestest widget available. It's ok to have something just because.

I've been a 10mm junkie for a few decades. I also love lever actions. Combining the two will make a fun shooter.

I'll probably shoot a deer and a squirrel with it too...cause why not?

Will be looking forward to hearing how it shakes out. Thankfully WA kept my account safe by making this something I can't have so I won't have to sell some silver to buy one. :D
Im pretty sure these are legal. Ive seen
In their infinite wisdom I thought they kept us all safe here by saying no threaded barrels? If not this will be a HUGE temptation when they finally come to market. :D
Well I've seen threaded barrel lever actions on the wall at my LGS since they passed the ɓan, and I asked him the same thing. They are not categorized as "assault weapons" so they are good to go. Ive been considering one of these in 357mag simply because I have more guns in that caliber, but 10mm would be a sweet setup for someone with a grandfathered "assault pistol" in this caliber.

The price appears to be approx. in line with their other Trapper S/S offerings. Which seems like a lot to me. Maybe Henry will come out with something comparable in 10mm. For less. I've got a clunky .30-30 Winchester that will have to do for my lever gun.

It's my opinion that Ruger is playing the Marlin card in a smart way. They recognized that Marlin lever guns have been and are popular. They also recognized that the market had gotten starved of new Marlin product for some time under Remington management. So now they are pimping the brand as hard as they can and I'm guessing that they are being successful at it. In a time when gun manufacturing and new sales have entered a general downturn.

The idea of having companion long guns and side arms is a popular one.

For those of you who believe it's okay to shoot .40 S&W in a 10mm chamber, please note the above.
