I wanna be a moderator just so no one can put me on ignore and they are forced to deal with me. No running. No hiding. lol.lol yeah, I have modded other communities. You have to be ever mindful of your behavior and comments because it comes with so much more weight than normal user interactions. Kinda makes it less fun. Sometimes being on the outside looking in is the better place to be, just like schoolkids smearing snot and slobber on the windows; I'll make the mess, you can clean it up![]()
I'd hate to be a mod just because I would feel obligated to be good at it, and that would kill all the fun. I used to start on responses, think better of it and delete the whole thing. I participated a lot less in the actual conversations and did a whole lot more finger wagging. But on the plus side for the other mods they would often just copy/past that finger wagging to the rules FAQ because I would go into excruciating detail on why someone was out of bounds. This was back before AI, so the threat of "write these rules in your own words so we know you understand them" was a grueling punishment for many of the kids.I wanna be a moderator just so no one can put me on ignore and they are forced to deal with me. But let's be honest I would be a horrible moderator. Everything would be free game. lol.
See that's the thing…. I wouldn't be good at it. Nor would I try very hard.I'd hate to be a mod just because I would feel obligated to be good at it, and that would kill all the fun. You get a good noodle star!See that's the thing…. I wouldn't be good at it. Nor would I try very hard.
Just trying to stay in my lane here as a member is difficult enough for me. I need bumper rails on bumper rails. lol.
Although I'm getting better at reading what I write….. smiling, then deleting it and moving on. It's not natural for me but it's progress! Haha.
Sometimes having a buddy to write that response to without posting it publicly or sending it to the true recipient is a great way to say something you might think better of. There are times when I send a message to other members here just to vent with them about another person being dumb. It may not be worth the drama (and potentially dragging the mods into it) but a shared "yeah that guy is being an idiot right now" can help vent the frustration while still keeping it out of the public threads.See that's the thing…. I ain't just 'Fudds' who get their 'panties in a bunch' over the threading (or defacing) of a quality, original lever action rifle.Well….. just because…. and it will get all the fudds panties in a bunch. Which I enjoy.

Too easy.I ain't just 'Fudds' who get their 'panties in a bunch' over the threading (or defacing) of a quality, original lever action rifle.
There are many who own and respect them for their unique historical influence they have in the 'gun world' and do not believe they should be 'downgraded' in any modern manner.
Besides why would one even BELIEVE a suppressor is necessary on a .30-30 ? I mean considering what one MAY be using it for or the shooting it it thereof a suppressor on one seems like nothing more than a 'fad' item one just BELIEVES they need to have because it 'sounds cool' or just 'gotta have one'.
I mean, suppressors are a safety device that protects hearing. If it were not for the NFA civilian suppressor use may have gone an entirely different direction and upgrading or retiring old classics without this safety device would be viewed the same as what is done with many less than totally safe classic firearms actions and trigger assemblies. You either fix it or hang it on a wall forever.I ain't just 'Fudds' who get their 'panties in a bunch' over the threading (or defacing) of a quality, original lever action rifle.

Oh trust me. I have plenty of conversations "behind closed doors."Sometimes having a buddy to write that response to without posting it publicly or sending it to the true recipient is a great way to say something you might think better of.
