Very solid professional conversion for use in the Civil war. Definitely a collectible, but also a shooter. Everything locks up tight, and functions accordingly.
Only issues are with the wood. One small crack, doesn't affect functionality or safety, and where the ramrod seats. Common issue with these guns, if the ramrod was pushed in not straight it would do this.
Also, underneath the stock are carved notches. I believe 13 of them. They appear time period.
As this is pre-1900, no FFL is required.
