I've got a 1950's Springfield Armory Garand and wondering if anybody can help me determine value. I've done some research and chatted with some other Garand guys. I've found out the receiver may be WWII vintage, but the rest except for the HRA trigger is 1950's Springfield. It was arsenal rebuilt at the Red River Army Depot in 1963. The first four of the Serial Number is 4327.

Nice rifle. ;) It should shoot well with a February 1953 SA barrel.:D
She needs some grease PLEASE. These old battle rifles run on grease.
Lubriplate is the old standard. I like Mobil 1 synthetic.:D

I'm going to shoot one for the first time later today. Gotta practice for the military rifle only match on the fourth!
Have fun! I had been buying the American Eagle Garand Specific 150 Grain FMJ from Cabelas at $27 per box, gonna try the PPU for $17. Did you get yourself a Garand as well? Where is this match? It sounds rad.

It's a friends rifle, I got to shoot it enough to make my shoulder sore-lol. The match is at Four Corners Rod and Gun Club.

I have shot that match before at Four Corners. Best part of the match is
the huge breakfast they make.;) Nice friendly club. Last weekend I shot a match with
my M1 @ DRRC standard "Across the Course" 200-300-600 yards.:oops::oops:
Good luck. Kill them red coats.:p
Convert a M-1 to 338????:eek::eek: Blasphemy. John C. is rolling in his grave.
