The only honest transmission repair shop that I know of first hand is Transmedic In Gresham.
They do excellent work for a fair price. Highly recommended.

I took my 03 Tahoe to Swinehart's on 4th Plain and they did a good job a few years ago. I think the name has changed now but its worth checking out.
