I recently acquired some 220g RN 44 mag bullets (thanks @LHancock) and I am wanting to load them to shoot in a lever action 44 mag rifle.
Most all of the research that I've been able to find is calling for A#9 powder, which I do not have.

I have very poor google foo abilities today.

Does anyone here have any alternatives that they've found through their years of 44Mag loading?
The powders I do have on hand are Bullseye, A#2, TiteGroup and H-110 (W296).
Thanks in advance.

I've done only 240 grain, maybe 180 as well, but I used H-110 for the loads. It was quite the flame thrower show if I remember correctly. I have also worked up some milder loads with 231 and 700-X. These were in a S&W 69, not a rifle, but I think Hodgdon has the same load data for H-110.
Good luck, I need to get myself a lever action in 44 or 357.

I do remember that they stung like crazy down my wrist.

Yeah Mike, that was the first search but aren't lead bullets different than BER FP's?
I've got plenty of tight group.

You should be fine with the starting load and work up from there. That is what I'd do. If you knew how hard they are as in a brindell 18+ you cold make full on loads with the H-110. You list only fast and a very slow powder, titegroup being the slowest of the fast. Ideally something like AA#7, Blue Dot or Long shot might be better choices for a mid range load. I just made some 300gr 44Mag sub sonic rifle loads with Longshot that work well at 1050 FPS.
