I noticed that gun safety education on their wish list.

I see 'ban...ban...ban...require...require...' all directed at law abiding folks.

Education from them would be: Guns are evil - they're only for murdering people - stay away.

This 'summit' was simply just bolstering the local gun control agenda from a perceived authority. If this group of health-care related folks were really concerned and trying to help...they'd be focused on health care solutions (treating people), NOT enacting further gun-control legislation (politics).

Every call for a NEW law is an admission that the exisiting laws are not working to stop criminals...essentially doubling down on misguided ideology.

Of course, below is more in line with the model they want to follow...in their eye this might be a little too lenient, but it would be a step in the right direction...just common sense, right??
