This is a beautiful place to live, I also have too many roots to move. But it's BS that everyone in King County dictates what the rest of the state has to do

Not really a war, just a pathological need for more power over everyone in Wa.

While King and a lot of Pierce are a PITA I have to keep reminding people of I1639 and Sporting Systems. That fight proved where the real problem is with WA and our race to the bottom. I for a long time thought it would get to a point of pain that most would wake the hell up but not sure anymore. After the great hoax and then I1639. Looks like WA will be just another CA or NY before long. Really is a damn shame as I have LONG loved this place. :(

**** Washington state. I came up here from California in 1994, specifically because WA was an awesome place to live with strong 2A background and terrific gun laws (or lack of gun laws thereof).

Since then, the outdoors areas have been totally trashed --- mostly plastic grocery bags and fast-food containers and trash. Garbage everywhere. Starting in 2014, worst gun laws in America.

I'm gonna go back to either the upper midwest or south around Tennessee, where this crap isn't tolerated.

The ole man brought us here in 65 because of the water, game and mountains.
Boy would he be pissed now.

I was brought up to kill commies. Now they are here. When they come, they will die.
Die commies die.

Kim Wyman had a LEGAL DUTY to reject the 1639 ballots because they failed to meet the state requirements. Ferguson had a LEGAL DUTY to reject the ballots by state law. Neither of these individuals followed the law.
I'm confident my letters to both of them & my letters to my federal representatives went into the round file. I have some very strong feelings/opinions I'm unable to put into the public's purview over this issue. And here we sit with fergusun as governor...

I watched as we put Jay back 3 times due to the same thing. Too many tossed their ballot and were proud to brag about how they were too good to vote for the alternative. Then Jay when he felt like he could not pull that again left the sate where he helped make the mess. Now we got Bob as many proudly say they helped him by tossing their ballot. We really do get the Government we deserve 🤬

IMO the actual war is only in the courts. People think rallies, etc will make a difference but that battle is long lost imo. The War, however is far from lost! D legislators don't give a f about what people think, following the constitution, individual rights, or being fair to all citizens. All they care about is gaining and maintaining power and $. They know one of the very best ways to accomplish that is to push the anti-gun narrative. It brings out D voters and that's why they do it.

So the way to fight is in the courts and how an individual can fight is to contribute to FPC, GOA, SAF, NAGR, and WA\OR-specific battles. They are the front line of this war. The other stuff is almost a waste of time and energy. I'm not happy about it but that is the reality on the ground right now.

Buy now, don't comply, and be smart about it. Support those who can actually make a difference in this fight.

I envision a future where our gun rights are so well grounded in case law that legislators won't even bother to bring it up because they know it will be overturned with the first filing for an injunction. Also any attempt to limit our gun rights such as raising taxes etc will be quashed with court action immediately. A future where it's taboo culturally to even bring up gun control. That's a future where we can truly protect our rights. @TonyAielloJr is one place you can support for OR. @Sporting Systems can probably direct you where to donate for WA.

People have tried to warn us for decades NOT to expect the courts to save us from our poor choices. Its easy to see they were right. The courts though are just the net result of how people vote. Look how many shooters on just this LITTLE slice of the gun owning public are still over the top butthurt about Trump winning.
They really wanted Joe and the cackling DEI to win another term. Just imagine another 2 or 3 DEI appointments to SCOTUS like the last one? Then imagine how few rights we would soon have. If we can't get people who want freedom to vote well we are soon going to look just like the UK. :(

Totally agree. Jackson-Brown is barely competent to be an attorney much less a judge at any level. And that's if they wanted to vote on the law and precedent, vs their own personal feelings.

This is symptomatic of the broader issue. I know it's hard to get your head around, but not everyone lines up with the division-sowing tribal lines you are drawing. Whining about DEI, especially in a thread where its discussion does not belong, isn't going to help your gun rights. It will undermine any gun rights argument you make, by attaching that argument to a polarized tribal extreme.
