***SOLD***
Original Mauser bayonet, NOT reproduction. From my personal collection, only recently de-greased and taken out of storage for inspection.
Scabbard has dent which does not affect functionality (see pics). Blade is in good condition considering age. Bluing is mostly gone. German 3-letter codes still visible. This is the highly desirable bakelite grip and NOT the wood grip.
Starting in 1941 to the end of the war, the Germans used 3-letter codes to denote manufacturers on the K98 bayonets. The scabbard shows "42 cul" Ernst, Pack, & Sohne (1942 mfg.) and the bayonet reads "43 agv" Berg & Co. (1943 mfg.)
I have test fit this bayonet to my K98 and it goes on easy and attaches firmly.
Asking $85, ships free using FedEx Ground or Home Delivery, my discretion.
Prefer to sell, but will also consider trade + $140 towards Mosin Nagant 91/30 (matching # only) or trade + $360 towards Enfield No. 4, Mk I, I/2, 1*, or Mk II (non-matching okay).
Thank you for looking.
