Another great singer is Cristina Scabbia who's the lead singer of Lacuna Coil (Italian goth metal/alternative band). She's f'n gorgeous and has one **** of a range as well. I've seen her 4 times in concert over the last 8 years now. Always an enertaining show!

It is the superficial looks and sex appeal that counts these days for commercial success. Brittany Spears has zero range or singing talent for instance. But (once) looked good in a bare midriff shirt. If a singer was hot at one time they get grandfathered in.

Danielle Brisebois is pretty good. (She played Archie Bunker's adopted daughter on Archie's Place, the All in the Family spinoff)
