My Daughter just bought a Used 02 Jeep Liberty and the engine blew, I can barely get it to run under near full throttle and it sounds like a washer machine full of marbles and rocks. The 82nd Av. dealership said they would replace tho engine at there cost ($3,000). I have called around and can't locate a used engine locally, thinking a used engine may be her best bet. The poor kid has very little money. Any Ideas where i mite find a used 02 3.7 2 wheel drive jeep Liberty engine?
Grenade under the fuel tank. Next call to Progressive to slow down those stupid ads. Greydog.
==================================================== That's idea i had not thought of,,,, don't think I would have the balls to pull it off.
If they will replace engine at their cost.. and none to your daughter. Then doooo it. If your looking into replacing the engine in that thing... eeks. Not fun.
==================================================== By there cost they mean materials and labor with out profit. My lil girl's cost would be $3,000. Dealership wants $5,000.
Have you tried going through B&R? They have quite a few locations in the PNW and may have one sitting around.
==================================================== I am not familiar with B&R, I will google them. Thanks. EDIT: I tried and they came up with nada, thanks any way.
No problem , that sounds like an awesome deal by the way . My price was as a dealer thru B&R . It helps to spend 8 - 10 k per month with them.
Try this link http://car-part.com/ Should be able to find one there, B&R even shows up in the searches. This is how I find Honda engines for sandrail projects.
