A pretty good Op-Ed from Jack Roberts that explains both sides of the debate. The best part is the last part, and it really explains the slippery-slope argument the best.

"In any event, many gun owners are suspicious of modest proposals for gun control precisely because they know that advocates won't be satisfied once they're passed. For those who dismiss this argument out of hand, ask yourself this question: What gun control laws could we pass in Oregon that would persuade state Sen. Ginny Burdick, D-Portland, to never introduce another one?"

That last statement hits the nail on the head, there will never enough for them to stop, it's like cocaine to them & they are so addicted!!!
Death of 1000 cuts. The bleeding will never stop unless matters are taken into the civilians hands.
