Maybe the old gun had some features that let those officers get away with being careless like the safety and harder trigger pull but that's no excuse. Especially with LEOs!

I've carried an M&P for the last 3 years (not an LEO). I've never had a negligent discharge. I've taken a defensive handgun course where we were constantly drawing and re-holstering live guns. Not a single ND. And, no one else in the group had one either.

Seems to me the problem definitely lies with the cops, not the guns. I'll bet if you looked at other agencies around the country, you wouldn't find the same stats for the same gun.
