Don't know if this was a fluke? Had a package coming today FedEx that had to have a signature. I was trying to watch for them but got tired figured screw it. Fully expected to find the note on the door, sorry we missed you, some day we will come back kind of thing. Damned if phone does not ring, its driver calling to say he is trying to make a delivery
I then noticed the tracking even showed me the name of the employee who was going to be delivering. I have long been saying this place went to crap a long time ago. To the point they made the USPS look good. So don't know if this was just some off thing or if someone there is actually trying to do better???

I am glad for you but surprised.

I have a large sign on my front door, plainly indicating a safe and dry place to set the package without them even needing to take one additional step. More and more, my packages are left in the rain in plain view for the porch pirates. I have zero faith with any of the carrier employees.

The place has been a total wreck for quite a while. Its why I was left wondering if someone is "trying" to clean things up or maybe this guy is some new employee who does not know yet he is not supposed to be doing this good? :s0140:

Your best bet with either company is to get to know and befriend your driver. Obviously this won't help with problems upstream. But it can help with a lot of things.

Good luck...and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Sometimes companies accidently do something right.

In a couple years when senior management finds out about it, the intern who implemented it will be fired, even though they quit over a year ago.

Don't know if we are the odd situation here but I don't ever seem to see the same driver for any of them here. UPS, FedEx, and USPS all seem to be a different person each time. I will pay attention next time FedEx is coming though to see if the tracking shows the drivers name. That I had never noticed before. FedEx was the gold standard LONG ago but, that was a long time ago. Would be nice if someone is actually trying to bring it back.

And I do. I keep them hydrated in the summer and thank them when I can. The guys I physically meet do better. It's the sneaks, many different people, I can't get on board with seem to think it's okay if they're getting away with something.

Yea, some routes are like that...always a different driver. My FedEx driver changes a lot. But I know my UPS driver and he's been on this route for three years. I don't know if he's awesome or just awesome to me. If they constantly change, I don't think there is much you can do.

Yes, something is happening here. I didn't get a call, but did get an email telling me delivery was on the way, and a photo of the driver. He showed up about 55 minutes later with the package. In the past, these guys have been just hit or miss, and I never knew when to believe their estimated delivery day. Have you ever tried to call them? I tried to delay a delivery a while ago, but could never get a real person on the line.

That's nothing, yesterday I saw that Starline took the money out of my account for a couple bulk quantities that had been back ordered. I called them and was told both boxes of brass would ship next week. Today Fed-Ex delivered them at 9 am. I'll probably get a tracking number tomorrow. But that's efficiency, to deliver something before it's even shipped.

My neighbor constantly gets packages but is never home. Regardless of the company delivering, they always leave the package in plain sight in front of the door. Just a few feet away, the banister and furniture on the porch would easily conceal it. I usually will push it out of sight.

That's a step in the right direction! They have been so bad for so long. We had computer and monitor shipped to us worth close to $5000 and it just disappeared. Said "delivered" but cameras showed no delivery and we were home at the time. We talked to delivery person a couple days later and he said he didint remember delivering anything. So it was an inside job and they got away with it.

Another time they were supposed to deliver expensive camera. Disappeared and after complaining it was "found" 4 weeks later. Camera had several photos shown on its memory. So someone from FedEx used it.

Also had a package come to Pdx, out for delivery then disappeared into the system. Tracking showed it going to various Seattle suburbs for 2 weeks. On third week it finally was delivered to me.

Recently had employee refuse to deliver a complete upper. Said "security issue". Went back to fed ex base and finally got it about a week and a half later. I guess they had to have some managers pee on it before the scaredy cat delivery person woudl deliver it.

Almost every time FedEx delivers I see on camera they just throw it on the concrete like they don't give a F. Only outfit that does this. it's clear to me they hire the worst dregs and thieves possible.

FedEx sucks big time.

I do not have the same driver at all.
The neighbor gets meds delivered several times per week, and I have not seen a single repeat driver.
I have experienced "your package is out for delivery" several days in a row, then say "delivered", which is when I call, because it sure wasn't delivered to me.

I have the same. It three years, it was not used once. I finally took it in last week.

I have LONG hated to see something coming to me by them. Couple panic shortages back one place had .22 ammo weekly. Only downside was they shipped FedEx. We had just put up exterior camera's shortly before and they were a life saver. Those times the package would show delivered and I had to call. Telling them I have camera's, your truck was never on this street. Each time hours later suddenly here would come a truck with the ammo 🤬
This one was so over the top good it had me wondering is someone trying to do better or was this a fluke. Its why I posted this, see if anyone else is suddenly getting over the top good service from them. This was some silver so of course I have to assume the sellers insure it well. No idea if that was why the over the top good service or not too. Will be interesting to see if the next shipments of things coming by them are the same.
