Soon to be taxed: Fishing poles. Waders. Binoculars. Backpacks. Hiking boots...
They already have in a way. There's the northwest forest pass for hikers, Columbia river drainage permit for fishing, day use passes for picnickers, ohv stickers and licenses for off roaders, parking permits for bird watchers, etc. if you like the outdoors you're taxed to death! Oh and don't forget excise taxes for guns and ammo. Every one of these departments the government creates needs funding and who do they saddle with that? That's why I could never, ever vote blue!

Ya I dont buy their bs....haven't had a problem yet.

I'm still grumbling about Mrs Tampaxs stealing our looked forward to free Pioneers hunt fish license (About the lowest cost of all the sportsman's fees) all my seniors were blessed with but when it came my turn, I received one year, then, the next, it stopped forever!
And to think of the thousands of dollars I've spent on fish and hunt license, boat tags, ramp fees, permits, state and federal tags for birds, tags for big game, fish, even money to file for the damn tag lotteries!
I'm surprised a fee and tax bond isn't required to be posted before a child is allowed to be born
Welcome to bunko land Oregon !

Looks like you can still get a pioneer license for 6$

I don't pay their money any more. The boat is gone. Amazingly though, two year tags for the 17.5" windshield boat were only $106.00! So no boat ramp fees, or yearly passes from us any more. We don't stop anywhere where you must pay to park and get out of your car. A 5-buck fee for those hiking a trail for some hours doesn't seem ridiculous.

We may pay the "Discover Pass" in WA though. They want $10.00 for you to get out of your car and look at Dougan Falls on The Washougal R. for five minutes. We find ourselves doing more road trips and sightseeing in WA than OR anymore. It's takes too damned long to get from the center of Crapland out to some beauty to make it worth it here. I DO have the "Old Man Pass" for federal lands though.
