lol my dumb a$$ sold that gun 20 years ago....if I only woulda known...Ill give you 20$ for it......
Hey, thanks. I will probably start off with some steel ones. I am ordering some more cases for the incoming mags as well. I have a few guns I want to get. First the RXM and then maybe the AK.Don't forget AK bakelite mags for that vintage look if you have the coin.
And for the AK :
Chinese flat back
Russian aluminum waffle tanker
Bulgarian Circle 10
Russian slab side
and several other desirable AK mags
I need a couple more for the savage 325It is amazing just how much a couple pieces of stamp steel and a spring can cost.
A few years ago I got a really nice Savage 19-33 NRA rifle...circa 1946.
Beautiful rifle , shoots wonderfully , carries nicely....only came with one magazine.
After a long search...I found a place that sells quality magazines for it.
I bought two sets of two magazines...each set had a 5 round and 10 round magazine at $80 a set....
Looking at that website now...the price is $100 a set.
I understand that my rifle is out of production...and of course there is the whole process of producing the magazines...
If they ain't in high demand...it may cost more to make something in the long run.
However...no matter how well they do work...and they do work well...
They still are nothing but stamped steel and a spring.
In any event...I will start saving up to get a couple more....what with Washington's wonderful AG and firearm laws..who knows what will be banned next.

Thank you!@Tlock

Is where I found my Savage magazines.
Pricey...but excellent service and fast shipping.
Edit to add :
Would love to find and buy a couple or a few more late GI issue 1911 magazines...
or just some good quality basic GI type 7 round 1911 magazines...that don't cost an arm or a leg.

I was in an email conversation with a guy from ACT-Mag talking about the chances of him bringing a certain SIG mag to market. It is amazing just how much a couple pieces of stamp steel and a spring can cost.

Right there with you. Growing up a po' kid and being an inveterate gun nut, I never thought I'd get there either. But we are. Sure, I check Gunbroker from time to time, ponder wacky projects, and soon our kiddos will be of age to have their own firearms, but the reality is the bases are more than covered. I went through a phase some years back where the collection was very fluid indeed, but that time and mindset is past. For what I currently own, I'm fairly stocked up now, (Beyond what I can use in a lifetime).
It's just gluttonous at this point (for me). Which is good, I'm actually content with what I have for the firearms I own.. which is shocking, never thought I'd be at that point.
Coastal farm in Redmond had tons of Glock mags..Sportsman's in Bend was pretty well stocked with just about everything except Glock mags. Not a one.
I was wanting one for my PCC but I'll have to check with them another time.
I had bought some Triple K 7 round mags that were blue steel GI pattern. Even the followers. I was really impressed. And they were about 11 bucks each. I gave them to my son and he likes them as well. The bottoms say Colt 45 Auto. Bass Pro sells them.@Tlock

I have 300+ mags.I was looking through the NWFA classifieds at magazines and there are tons available, many at reasonable prices. I would think with a mag ban potentially imminent that they would all be getting scooped up.
Has everybody got their fill of magazines. If not what are you waiting on before you start your mag shopping?

Sorry to hear that. So when you say out of the game, you just mean no more buying? Or are you selling out and calling it quits with the hobby? Whatever you decide i wish the best for you.Well, I'm out of the game. I am having more health issues and I need to put my money toward that. So I'm done. Turns out I may have something more serious than the doctors and I had thought. So I'm back to square one.
I am going to get my affairs in order in case I croak in the near future. I need to set my wife up so that she is taken care of, but the houses will remain in the ownership of my son when I'm gone. I need to my sure that my step kids don't get anything. They wouldn't know how to handle it.
My wife is leaving her share of her family's property to her son, so he will be ok.
The problem is with my daughter/stepdaughter, whatever I'm supposed to call her. She is actually mentally retarded, but not so retarded that they would take her kids away. She's smart enough to suck the system for mass benefits, but not smart enough not to function in the real world financially.
If she got a house after our deaths, she would lose her SSI eventually and other benefits. And then my grand kids would be screwed. My daughter gets more per month in snap benefits than my wife and I spend on groceries in a month. She gets like $650.00 a month. And she does certain things that she thinks she's not going to get caught doing with her benefits and other things that could get her kicked off of her benefits anyway, or at least she has in the past. Or so I have heard from other family members. It's stuff that I don't want to know about tbh.
