Inglis Canadian HiPowers with stock

I don't know why, but I've had a craving to own one of these. I already own a MK3 HP but the artillery sights, the stock… just freakin cool. If anyone here owns one, or used to, how much did the stock contribute to accuracy? Any downsides? Thanks!

I had one without the stock, hated the sights.. a huge fat V front and a tiny v notch rear. Horrible.

No, but I have always thought they'd be a great historically meaningful shooter.

I had in original with the stock. Did not did do much for me. May be because I prefer USGI WWII firearms.

There is reproduction stocks but use of them may not be legal. There is different letters from the ATF in the past about if reproductions are legal to use. Most say no.

In that case, you would need an original stock to shoot it stocked. Original stocks are very pricy. Some reproductions are very close and can be deceiving if you don't know what to look for in an original. Do your research before buying.

Yeah the stock sights suck cornchute before the MKIII. MKIII sights are okay but not Novaks.

And Novaks are not Browning beer-can target sights.

They are super neato. I see them pop up on auction sites at times. With the original stock they go for a pretty penny.
