In my opinion, that was driven by that anti-gun chief.
I believe he made the call to the TV station to get a reporter's attention.

Good work Cogs, on the rebuttal !

I want to know where all the shooters were. Lots of guns piled up on tables with more junk then I have ever seen brought out shooting.

One would think IF people were there they would have been 'used' to 'fuel the fire' so to speak by presenting them in a 'negative' manner but none were around.

Maybe they didn't give their permission to being filmed/photographed?

Might be the Chief didn't want to show them. Retaliation perhaps? Law suite? Mabe they said they didn't want their pics on the news. Hard to say, but the pic implies there were several people there, and the pic they showed coincides with the comment they made about 6-9 people with 30-40 guns.

That one large table looked staged to me.
Who piles up firearms and junk like that on range day ?
Maybe someone who wants to create an image recklessness and danger.

CANCELLED. The Five Way cleanup idea is CANCELLED!

Something's come up and I won't be able to put a cleanup together, nor be able to attend. Sorry about that!

I'll let you know if, and when, I can get this done.

Meanwhile, if you can grab a bag or two, please do so!

Bill

Here's a 6 min vid of the Triangle cleanup. Big screen and sound up is best!

Great video Bill. Glad you had a great turn out. You needed every last person. Sorry we couldnt make it up. Hate to say it but I think it is a race to the bottom between most target shooters and the homeless on the amount of trash left in the forest.

That could be so, Craig! But at this Triangle pit, I met more 'Homeless people' helping out to clean it up! Friday was a couple who was trying to find brass, and they came back on Saturday to help with the cleanup. Saturday was another couple who came to help. They are all there all the time. So, some are not so bad after all (just more unfortunate than others).

That is great. I honestly believe there are people that are down on their luck and really struggling but still are good people and help any way they can. Was this the place last year that the couple was hauling off the metal? Could happen to anyone.
Unfortunately there is the other side of the crowd.

Yes, the same place as last October. That was also with BHA and the Armed Forces Initiative.

I've seen this grow all summer and each time I see it, I wonder... Where's the respect? What happened to it?

Many have learned respect at a young age, but I think it must not be taught anymore. Otherwise, it wouldn't be this bad. Take a look around any forest you visit and you'll see.

Let me know if you find any respect laying around not being used. There's plenty of opportunities to give some away! I found some on Day 3! Five guys with plenty of respect! Nice!

Every litter bit helps...err...little bit.
I always or at least damn near always come home from shooting or hunting with a bag full of other people's trash.
It may not be a lot ...but if everyone did the same...it adds up.
