This documentary is long and the music is terrible, but the scholarship is excellent and important. The Heller decision said in no uncertain terms that the right to bear arms is protected without any requirement of militia service. This documentary explains some of the modern scholarship surrounding that question. Next time someone says "militia" in an attempt to claim that you don't have the right to bear arms, you can point them at this. It should be shown in schools in my opinion. Hope you like it.

Well, anyone who has read 10 USC 311 knows who the militia is..."The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard."

So, if I'm over 45 I'm no longer fit to serve?

Maybe I can serve donuts like they used to do to our soldiers?
