A parallel to this thread:

Why? It is being reported the Senate version also deregulates short-barrel rifles (SBRs), short-barrels shotguns (SBS), and Any Other Weapons (AOWs).

Enjoy! :D

I'd short barrel a PS90 & an AK74 varient (Arsenal SLR104UR).

Both I would do "eventually", with stamps. However, would get advanced quite a bit ahead in my line of things I'd like to get done...

I'd get the 14 inch barrel for my M4 shotgun and some uppers for my AR etc.
My only worry is these anti gun states might go full fart to ban SBRs etc if they are taken off the NFA. WA has already shown its willingness to ban their way to confiscation and even sue their own citizens out of business over unconstitutional laws as such.

I'm drooling over those new Turkish MP-5 clones fitted out proper, and with two stamps about to be removed, might as well really do it up the way it should be!

HK Sp5 and SP5K get the real OG stocks and vertical Foregrips.
PS90 gets a barrel chop.
Spear LT gets the real stock.
HK MR556A4 11" gets the real stock.
B&T TP9 gets the real folding stock and OEM Vertical Foregrip.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY . . .

VZ61 Skorpion gets . . . NOTHING. It is perfect just the way it is . . .
:s0115: :s0069:
JK- it gets the OG wire stock installed, just as god and GoldenEye intended . . .

I had an interesting chat with wife concerning this whilst making and consuming dinner. We've hit all the major points with MGs, SBRs, a SBS, silencers, and an AOW. (Only NFA "bingo" not met is a DD.) So, nothing readily sprang to mind from either of us. Except "why not" options; cans for everything that can use one, integral suppressors, stocks for pistols and revolvers, at least a couple different AOWs, some of my wackier outlier ideas, etc. Put another way, while the primary targets were already hit years ago, there are a number that it was difficult to justify the tax/paperwork/wait bullplop back when we were actively NFA-ing. With that nonsense gone, well, why not. :s0155:

I might be tempted to add a butt stock to a mares leg. Or put a Universal Enforcer in a carbine stock.

Butt as both are expensive ideas I doubt I would do anything.

I'm going to SBR my pistol, but am gonna wait just a bit to see if the Govt makes it legal without all of the paperwork and tax.

About the only things I would do would be:

1) get the 10" threaded barrel for my PS90 and attach a suppressor to it.

2) Put a buttstock on my Shockwave (assuming SBS are added, which I doubt).

Other than that, I don't have any rifles where I feel the need to shorten the barrel less than 16"

Maybe add a buttstock to a .22 rimfire pistol (e.g., Browning Buckmark)

suppressed pump action 50 beowulf has been on my build list for a while but the commercial big bore cans are all designed for magnum rifle cartridges with the expense and size that brings with it.

Hopefully someone starts making solvent trap kits again, even if the tube has to be serialized.

One F1 project that I've kicked around for a while that falls in the outlier category is a wire stock for a big bore (.44, .45, or .50) double-action revolver. It would require some custom gunsmith and many won't touch NFA stuff. (My go to guy in that niche retired.) More annoyingly would be having to engrave trust information on the barrel or receiver. If the SBR horse-hockey goes away, those issues do too.

As a hiking, pest removal, vehicle carry, and/or small game gun, it would be neat if the currently AOW-regulated Marble Game Getter, Ithaca A&B, and H&R Handy Gun made a comeback from some manufacturer. If they were Title I, I don't see why some outfit wouldn't come up with something similar.

Anyway, just some random musing as I wait to attend a meeting. :p
