Ok, I tried and I will try again. Please take five minutes to consider
this....
First, remember the old adage: United we stand, Divided we fall.
I'm not here to argue politics or how or any of the other things
that discussions can derogate into.
Right now we have a battle to fight. Measure 114 is passing. The
company I use to work for measures opinions and possible voting outcomes.
Unless YOU are willing to stop arguing and step up to defeat it, it will pass.
Here is how to defeat it.....
1. Approximately 25% of gun owners are NOT registered to vote. Chances
are high that one or more of your friends are among this group.
If you want to win this battle, YOU need to ask each and everyone of
your firearm owning friends if they are registered. If they are not, you
need to get them registered. You only have about a week to accomplish this.
You need to MOVE NOW!
2. Approximately 45% of firearm owners do NOT vote in mid-term elections like
this one (even if they are registered to vote).
If you want to win this battle. Every firearm owner has to vote and vote NO.
Here is how WE do this....
Individually we need to set up a "CALLING TREE". It works this way...
Most of us have at least three friends.
a. Call up three of your friends.
b. Make sure they are registered to vote and they understand that
114 will be extremely detrimental to gun ownership.
c. Tell them that you will call them when the ballets come out
to reminded them to vote immediatly (not forget: remember
the old saying "vote early and vote often")
d. Ask and get each of them to agree to call three of their friends
and do what you are doing. And those to call three of theirs
and so on.
See. Simple. As this process goes on, a calling tree is formed.
We know that eventually it will die out. However, the history of
such trees is that they usually give contact to 1500 people or more.
My tree will contact 1500, Your tree, another 1500. and so on.
Now, here comes the Paul Revere part.
As soon as you get your ballot, you need to call each of your three
friends. Ask them if they got their ballot, ask them to vote and
ask them to call their three friends to do what you just did. A
week later call again to make sure they have voted and mailed
in their ballot. Again, ask them to do the same with their contacts.
And those to do theirs and so on ad infinitum.
See? Paul Revere. This is a call to arms. You first callers are
Paul Revere's (did you know that Paul was not the only rider
on that famous ride? There were several riders who fanned
out across the countryside.
We can win this battle. We must win this battle to win the war.
We can argue "how" after we win this battle. Stand up and fight.
Only together can we win.
